Diponegoro University (Undip) Semarang continues to improve the quality of education, one of which is through visiting professor activities. This activity is held to enrich the knowledge of students and lecturers by presenting guest professors from abroad who are experts in their fields.
One of the study programs that organizes visiting professor activities is Undip’s Master of Epidemiology. This study program, which focuses on public health science, always strives to provide high-quality education so that its graduates can compete in an increasingly competitive world of work.
On July 2, 2022 and July 23, 2022, Undip’s Master of Epidemiology successfully held online visiting professor activities through zoom meetings by presenting two professors from abroad, namely Prof. Yan Guo from the School of public health, Peking University Health Science Center, China and Prof. Alfonso J. Rodriguez – Morales from Institucion Universitaria Vision de Las Americas, Colombia.
Both professors gave lectures and interactive discussions on topics related to epidemiology that are in the spotlight internationally. In addition, the professors also provided practical training in the field of epidemiology to students and lecturers.
Undip’s Master of Epidemiology itself has a good reputation in the field of epidemiology education in Indonesia. With the visiting professor activities, it is hoped that this study program can further improve the quality of education it provides and provide greater benefits to the wider community.
