Based on the Circular of the Chancellor of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Number 5 of 2023 concerning lecture methods and student activities at Diponegoro University Even Semester Academic Year 2022/2023 states that lectures and exams this semester are carried out offline, while activities that can be carried out in a hybrid manner are Final Assignment guidance / Thesis/ Thesis/ Dissertation. Therefore, the Master of Epidemiology at the Postgraduate School, Diponegoro University, held a thesis proposal examination offline by research program students on behalf of Riszkia Mareta in the 5th Floor Meeting Room of TTB Building A, Postgraduate School UNDIP, on Monday, 6 February 2023 at 13.00-15.00 WIB.
On this occasion Riszkia Mareta submitted her planned thesis proposal entitled: “Risk Factors of Multidrug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) in the Pekalongan Regency Area”.MDR-TB is one of the obstacles in TB control in Indonesia. The main factor causing MDR-TB is human behavior as a result of the treatment management of TB patients that is not carried out properly. Inadequate management of TB patients can be viewed from the side of officers, patients, and TB control programs (Ministry of Health, 2014). Therefore, the high prevalence of MDR-TB in the Pekalongan area and its risk factors need to be studied further. Examination of this proposal as wellattended by the supervising lecturer namely Dr. drh. Dwi Sutiningsih, M. Kes. and dr. Onny Setiani, Ph.D, and the examiner namely Dr. dr. Andrew Johan, M.Sc. and Muh. Fauzi, SKM, Ph.D. This proposal exam was also attended by other students from various programs.Another 2021 program by research student who has already taken the thesis proposal exam is Mr. Syukriah with the title “Analysis of Post-Immunization Follow-up Events (KIPI) of Covid 19 Vaccination in Communities in Kutai Kertanegara Regency”, Martasiah with the title: “Factors Influencing the Severity of Covid 19 in Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Kutai Kertanegara Regency”, and Nurhayati with the title “Analysis of the Risk of Transmission of Leptospirosis in Flood Affected Areas (Study of the Working Area of Bonang Health Center 1).”
In addition to the by research program, the Epidemiology Masters Study Program also opens by Course programs and International Programs.Students of the by research program have minimal lectures in class but are required to take part in intensive mentoring for each stage of thesis preparation which is different from the by course program where students are required to attend lectures with a defined curriculum structure.
