HISTORY OF EPIDEMIOLOGY MASTERS

The Epidemiology Master study program was founded in 2001, based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education No.84 / DIKTI / Kep / 2001 dated April 3, 2001.

Currently the Epidemiology Master study program has been accredited A, based on the LAM-PTKes Association Decree No. 0088 / LAM-PTKes / Akr / Mag / II / 2019 dated February 23, 2019.

Epidemiology Master program of Diponegoro University aims to produce Epidemiologist  who have expertise and experience in the field of Epidemiology so that they are able to work independently in planning and compiling alternative solutions to health problems comprehensively through the One Health approach.

520 Epidemiologists were produced from 2001 to August 2023. The Master of Epidemiology study program offers by Courses, by Research, international, and collaboration programs with a total of 36-42 credits, and an average study period of 3 semesters.

The scientific vision of the study program: to become an EXCELLENT Master program in the field of Managerial Epidemiology and to be able to play an active role in resolving health problems through the One Health approach.

Missions:

  1. To Develop and implement educational program that produces graduates in the Epidemiology field with Managerial excellence through the One Health approach.
  2. To support students and lecturers to conduct researches, publications and intellectual works as well as community service in the field of epidemiology.
  3. To make use of the results of the research and community service activities for curriculum development, policy recommendations and innovation.

To develop cooperation and partnership in the Tri Dharma of University with various government and private institutions at the national and international levels.
