The Master of Epidemiology at Diponegoro University (Undip) held another “Epidemiology Visiting Professor Series” on November 13, 2023. This event is one of the important agendas for students to expand their knowledge, especially in the field of epidemiology.

In this event, Undip’s Master of Epidemiology invited experts from both within and outside the country to share their experiences, knowledge, and latest research. This event is not only a place to listen to presentations from experts, but also a discussion forum that enriches participants’ insights through questions and answers and interactive sessions.

The speakers invited to this event were Prof. Alfonso J. Rodriquez – Morales from Institucion Universitaria vision de las Americas Colombia delivering material on Long COVID-19 Update, Ass. Prof. Dr. Saengduen Moonsom from Mahidol University Thailand delivered material on New Challenges of Parasitic Diseases, and Alfred Kompudu from FAO Emergency Center for Transboundary Animal Diseases (ECTAD) Indonesia delivered material on Addressing the Global Crisis: Latest Steps in Antimicrobial Resistance Prevention and Control.

This “Epidemiology Visiting Professor Series” activity is not only a routine event, but also part of the efforts of Undip’s Master of Epidemiology to continue to improve the quality of education and research in the field of public health. Through collaboration with experts, this program is expected to have a positive impact in increasing understanding and solutions to complex health challenges.

The participants who attended this event consisted of students from various faculties and departments at Diponegoro University. It is hoped that this collaboration will open opportunities for further cooperation in in-depth and sustainable research and that more and more young Indonesians will be inspired to contribute to the health sector, especially in efforts to prevent and control diseases globally.
