The Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Master of Epidemiology Study Program made efforts to follow up on the initiation of cooperation with the Ciloto Health Research Center (BBPK) in the development of the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) on June 6-7, 2022 at the Head Meeting Room of BBPK Ciloto, Cianjur, West Java. The follow-up activity of this cooperation initiation has entered a more in-depth discussion and planning stage.
FETP is a special training program that aims to produce reliable epidemiologists who are able to identify, control, and manage various infectious and non-communicable diseases. This program becomes very important in the context of overcoming various outbreaks and complex public health problems.
This collaboration is an effort of Master of Epidemiology UNDIP to develop competent human resources in the field of epidemiology. FETP will be a platform for UNDIP epidemiology master students to gain practical experience in analyzing epidemiological data, planning interventions, and collaborating with public health stakeholders.
Dr. drh. Dwi Sutiningsih, M.Kes, Chairperson of the UNDIP Master of Epidemiology Program, expressed the importance of this collaboration. “This collaboration will provide an excellent opportunity for our students to hone their skills in the field and contribute to the real handling of public health problems.”
In addition, this collaboration will also allow the students to work closely with experienced epidemiologists and public health practitioners at BBPK Ciloto. This is an opportunity for knowledge and experience exchange that will strengthen the capacity of human resources in the field of epidemiology in Indonesia.
The collaboration between the UNDIP Master of Epidemiology Program and BBPK Ciloto is expected to have a significant positive impact on efforts to improve the health of the Indonesian people. With qualified epidemiologists, the country will be better prepared to face various existing and future health challenges.
