On January 18, 2024, the Master of Epidemiology at Diponegoro University (Undip) held training and mentoring activities for a website-based antimicrobial resistance surveillance system at Noormans Hotel Semarang. SRI-AMR is a website application to input, process, and monitor the results of testing and the use of antibiotics from antimicrobial resistance cases to become useful data for follow-up prevention and control of antimicrobial resistance.

This activity was attended by every agency representative from the Health Office, Agriculture Office, Puskeswan, Puskesmas, and Hospitals in Semarang City and Regency and Salatiga. This activity began with a discussion with Alexandra Tatgyana Suatan, as part of the Indonesian One Health University Network (INDOHUN) regarding antimicrobial resistance activities through a one health approach, followed by a Focus Group Discussion (FDG), after which the last session was an introduction as well as training on the SRI-AMR website application.

Dr. drh. Dwi Sutiningsih, M. Kes, as Chairperson of the Diponegoro University Master of Epidemiology Study Program, appreciated this activity, “This program is a form of development of the Master of Epidemiology to introduce the SRI-AMR application accompanied by training and assistance to each agency. We hope that the SRI-AMR application can develop as a collection of testing data and the use of antibiotics to determine and limit the use of antibiotics in accordance with standards in preventing antimicrobial resistance, “she said.

With this training and mentoring activity, it is hoped that the SRI-AMR website application will be able to develop widely to monitor the development of the use and testing of antibiotics through data as a goal to prevent cases of antimicrobial resistance.
